وإذا كان لا يخفى على أحد من أمتنا الإسلامية أنها تعيش وضعاً مزرياً لا تحسد عليه في مختلف الأصعدة والمجالات، وما تتجرعه يومياً من مرارة الضعف والهوان، والتخلف والتزلف إلى الغير، فذلك إنما هو ضريبة تؤديها نتيجة إعراضها عن أهم السنن الإلهية التي تدور مع الأمة الإسلامية إنتصاراً وإنكساراً، والتي تتجلى في الجهاد في سبيل الله تعالى، فمهما أخذت بهذه السنة أخذاً مقاصدياً إلا وانتصرت، ومهما تركتها، أو أخذت بها واستبدلت مقاصدها الشرعية بالمطالب الدنيوية إلا وانكسرت.
لذلك، يمكننا القول أن النظر المصلحي في السيرة النبوية من خلال هديه صلى الله عليه وسلم في الجهاد، يعتبر أحد المداخل الرئيسة لإصلاح هذه الأمة بما صلح به أولها، لأنه مؤطر بالفهم العميق للوحي، والتطبيق الدقيق له، والسير الحقيق على خطا النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في الأخذ به، وتدبيره إبتداء من مرحلة الإستعداد له إلى ما بعد نهايته، تدبيراً مبنياً على فقه مصالحه ومفاسده، والنظر في مآلاته ونتائجه الواقعة والمتوقعة.
