Book Description
إنَّ من الشَّائع المعلوم بين أفراد القوم، أن لا يؤلِّف عاقل في غير ما شيء من العلوم، وهو إمَّا شيء لم يسبق إليه فيخترع، أو مغلق فيشرح ويفترع، أو متفرَّق فيجمع مع طي الأطراف، أو خطأ فيه مؤلِّفه فيصلح مع الإعتراف، أو مختلط فيرتِّب حسن أو نقص، فيتم بلا ضعف ولا وهن، أو طويل فيختصر بلا خلل، وفائدته تسهيل العلوم وقلَّة الملة.
وقد كان الكتاب الموسوم بين الشُّيوخ والأحداث: "تحرير المعنى السَّديد وتنوير العقل الجديد من تفسير الكتاب المجيد"، المعروف إختصاراً بـ: "التَّحرير والتَّنوير"، حاز فضلاً عظيماً، ومقاماً جسيماً، تحلَّى بعناية كثير من الدَّارسين، وأولوه عناية من جوانب عدَّة، جعل للكتاب قيمة علميَّة تضاف إلى جهود العلماء الأكارم في هذا الدَّرب.
وأمَّا عن دوافع تأليف الكتاب، فيقول الإمام ابن عاشور - كما في تمهيده لهذا "التَّفسير" (1/ 5- 6) طبع: دار سحنون: "كان أكبر أمنيَّتي منذ زمن بعيد، تفسير الكتاب المجيد، الجامع لمصالح الدُّنيا والدِّين، وموثق شديد العرى من الحقِّ المتين، والحاوي لكلِّيَّات العلوم ومعاقد استنباطها، والآخذ قوس البلاغة من محلِّ نياطها، طمعاً في بيان نكت نم العلوم وكليَّات من التَّشريع، وتفاصيل من مكارم الأخلاق، كان يلوح أنموذج من جميعها في خلال تدبُّره، أو مطالعة كلام مفسِّره، ولكن كنت على كلفي بذلك أتجهَّم التَّقحُّم على هذا المجال، وأحجم عن الزَّج بسية قوسي هذا النِّضال، اتِّقاء ما عسى أن يعرض له المرء نفسه من متاعب نتوء بالقوَّة، أو فلتأت سهام الفهم، وإن ساعد الذِّهن كمال الفتوَّة...".
وقد صدًّر "تفسيره" بمقدِّمات عشر، تعين القارئ والدَّارس على فهم الكثير من القضايا المتَّصلة بعلوم القرآن الكريم، إذ حدَّد الإمام ابن عاشور فيها وسائل التَّفسير التي أقام عليها منهجه، سواء التَّفسير بالرِّواية أم التَّفسير بالدِّراية.
