"تنوير القلوب في معاملة علام الغيوب" للعلامة محمد الإربلي كتاب في العقيدة قدم له المؤلف بمقدمة مطولة فابتدأ بالحكم العقلي ثم التقسيم المعهود، الإلهيات، النبوات، السمعيات . ثم تكلم في الفقه على المذهب الشافعي: كتاب الطهارة، الصلاة، الزكاة، الصوم، الحج، المعاملات، الفرائض، النكاح، الجنايات وقد ختم كتابه بخاتمة في التصوف. فهو بذلك يبين النهج السليم في تلقي العلم بتقديم العقيدة على الفقه وتأخير السلوك، إذ من تفقه ولم يتصوف ففقد تفسق، ومن تصوف ولم يتفقه فقد تزندق.
وبالنظر لأهمية الكتاب فقد اعتنى الاستاذ "محمد رياض" بتحقيقه حيث اهتمم بترتيب موضوعات الكتاب ثم فصل القول بالشرح الوافي لأسماء الله وصفات، عقلاً وفطرة مستعيناً ببعض المراجع الخاصة بالعقيدة مدعماً قوله ببعض أقوال السلف الصالح مخالفاً بذلك طريقة علم الكلام. بعد ذلك فصل شرح مفهوم التوحيد وأنواعه والشرك وأنواعه وتاريخ حدوثه وما أحدثه في الأمة وحقق الكلام في الصفات المعنوية والخلاف بين علماء السلف وعلماء الكلام وأضاف للنبوات شرحاً وتعليقاً فبين أسرار بعثة الرسل إلى البشرية وأسماء أولي العزم وما يجب بحقهم جميعاً وما يستحيل... وكتب أيضاً شرحاً في السمعيات... وبين مفهوم السحر وحكم الشرع فيه وعن الجن وتشكيلهم وفصل الكلام في اليوم الآخر والموت وأسراره وسكراته وعن ملك الموت والروح وسرها وعذاب القبر ونعيمه وسؤال الملكين ونبه عن قضية مهمة وهي إثبات العمل بحديث الآحاد في العقائد كما هي ثابتة في الأحكام وأخيراً تكلم عن الساعة وأشراطها وفصل ذلك في الهامش مستعيناً بالآيات والأحاديث وأيضاً عن البعث والنشور وعن السيئة وجزائها والحسنة وجزائها وعن هول الموقف وعن الميزان والصراط والحوض والشفاعة وأنواعها وعن الجنة والنار والنظر إلى وجه الله سبحانه وتعالى.
