إنه الملك النجاشى ملك الحبشة أثناء بعثة رسول الله (ص) أوى المهاجرين إليه ست عشرة سنة. وساهم في إسلام عمرو بن العاص، وقام بتزويج "أم حبيبة" من رسول الله بل ودفع مهرها من ماله الخاص، وأسبع حماتيه. على المؤمنين حتى أثناء انقلاب قومه عليه. قال عنه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إنه ملك لا يظلم عنده أحد. وقال النجاشى عن رسول الله: إنه من يأتيه الناموس الأكبرالذى كان ياتى موسى وعيسى. وعندما مات النجاشى نعاه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم. إنها قصة ماحدث بين رسول الله وبين الملك النجاشى. الإيمان من منابعه الصافية يؤلف ولا يفرق. بينى ولا يهدم وسحقاً للمتعصبين.
