السؤال الذى كان دائماً، يدور في ذهن المؤلف: هو هل يوجد إعجازعلمى وجغرافى للقرآن الكريم؟، وللإجابة عن هذا السؤال قام المؤلف بدراسة علمية من وجهة جغرافية للقرآن الكريم، فوجدت عديداً من الآيات القرآنية الكريمة تشتمل على حقائق ومفاهيم وتعميمات في شتى فروع الجغرافيا، ولا يعنى ذلك أن كتاب الله هو كتاب للجغرافيا، ولكن ما أعنيه أن القرآن الكريم اشتمل على آيات بينات تتضمن حقائق جغرافية، وسوف أعرضها كما وردت في القرآن الكريم دون أدنى تحريف أو تأويل أو تفسير لهذه الآيات وإنما اعتمدت على عدة تفسيرات لعلماء أفضل.
ولقد بذلت قصارى جهدى أن أضع أمام الباحثين أكبر قدر ممكن من الحقائق الجغرافية، مع الاهتمام بالعالم الإسلامى حتى يضع كل مسلم يده على مواطن القوة في هذا الجزء من الأرض فيعمل على دعمها وزيادتها قوة إلى قوتها، ويرى مواضع النقص فيخطط للنهوض بها. فالعالم الإسلامي يجب دراسته جغرافياً وتاريخياً وسياسياً وإجتماعياً واقتصادياً وطبياً على كل مستوى حتى لا يبقى مجرد عاطفة نرددها دون أفكار نطرحها للدراسة والتحليل. ولذا أقدم هذا الكتاب هدية لكل مسلم في العالم الإسلامي، وقد استعنت بأكثر من 300 آية من الآيات المتضمنة في 75 سورة من سور القرآن الكريم والتي توضح الظواهر الجغرافية المختلفة، ويأمل المؤلف من هذا المرجع أن يستفيد منه أساتذة الكليات وطلاب الدراسات العليا وخبراء المناهج والمجتمعات بالعالم الإسلامي.
