تناول المؤلف محمود طعمة حلبي هذا الموضوع من خلال بحث تألف من ثمانية فصول حيث تفرع كل فصل إلى عدة بحوث فرعية، تتكامل فيما بينها لتشكل كلاً واحداً مكسباً البحث ثراء وخصوبة. وجاءت هذه الفصول تحت عناوين:
1-الترغيب في النكاح أو الزواج، 2-من أجل إضافة لبنة جديدة في بناء المجتمع المسلم لا بد منه، 3-المهر وأحكامه، المهر مقدمه ومؤخره، 4-الزواج أنواعه وأحكامه، 5-الحياة الزوجية وما ينبثق عن هذه الحياة، 6-من حقوق الزوج على الزوجة ومن حقوق الزوجة على الزوج، 7-الأخطار التي تهدد استقرار الحياة الأسرية وسبل معالجتها، 8-الطلاق وأحكامه.
