لقد كانت عنايةُ أهل الأندلس بالجامع الصحيح للإمام البخاري فائقةً من جهة الرِّواية والدراية، إذ رحل قومٌ منهم إلى المشرق من أجل لقاء الرواة الأوائل الذين تحمَّلوه من جامعه، أو الإتصال بمن قدِّر له لقاءُ طبقة عالية من نقلته وحامليه، ولقد كان من بين من اعتنى في إشبيلية القرن الخامس الهجري بالرحلة إلى المشرق من أجل رواية صحيح الإمام البخاري وحمله عمَّن رواه من المسندين الكبار - أبو عبد الله بن منظور القيسي الإشبيلي التي عُنيتُ في هذا الكتاب بالترجمة له، وذكر جهوده في خدمة الجامع الصحيح للأسباب التالية: "ليس يُعرف في الدرس الحديثي المعاصر، بحثٌ مفرد في التنويه بابن منظور الإشبيلي وجهده في خدمة الجامع الصحيح للإمام البخاري"، "يقع ذكْرُ أبي عبد الله بن منظور القيسي الإشبيلي كثيراً في الأسانيد الأندلسية المغربية التي تروي الجامعَ الصحيح للإمام البخاري من طريقه"، "يقع أبو عبد الله بن منظور الإشبيلي ضمن سلسلة أعلام أندلسيين اعتنيتُ بالترجمة لهم في جملة محدِّثي الفردوس المفقود، الَّذين شيَّدوا المدرسة الحديثية الأندلسيَّة في القرن الخامس الهجري".
