هذا تحقيقٌ جديدٌ لديوان الشّاعر الفارس أبي فراس الحَمْدَانيّ، برواية اللُّغويّ ابن خالويه (ت 370هـ)، اجتهد المحقِّقُ في مقابلة نصوصه وتخريجها وتوثيقها، وتتبُّع ما جاء من أشعاره في المظانّ المختلفة ممَّا فات روايةَ ابن خالويه، فتحصَّل لديه جملةٌ صالحةٌ من أشعارٍ صحَّت للرَّجُلِ وخَلَتْ منها جميعُ طبعات الدّيوان.
وقد شَفَعَ عَمَلَهُ بضَرْبٍ من الشَّرح والتّعليق اللٌّغويّ والتاريخيّ مِمَا جعل النُّصوص دانياً، وأُتبع تحقيقه بفهارس فنّيّة شاملة تُيَسّرُ السبيل إليه.
ترجو وزارة الثقافة - الهيئة العامّة السّوريّة للكتاب إِذ تقدّم ديوان أبي فراس محقّقاً بلبوسٍ جديد أَنْ تكون قد أغنت المكتبة العربيّة والباحثين وقُرَّاء العربيّة بما تُقَدِّرُ أَنَهُ نافعٌ ماتعٌ.
