الكتاب الجديد دراسة نقدية موثقة لمسار حركة “فتح”، التي احتلت منذ عام 1968 الموقع القيادي الأول في الساحة الفلسطينية، حيث وضعت قيادتها بصماتها على النضال الوطني الفلسطيني سلبا وإيجابا، وقادت الشعب الفلسطيني في ميدان الكفاح المسلح، ولكنها انتهت في ميدان التسوية السياسية بما اشتمل عليه من تنازلات وتفريط بحقوق الشعب الفلسطيني في وطنه.
يتزامن صدور الكتاب مع الذكرى السنوية الستين لتأسيس حركة “فتح” في أواخر عام 1959، ويقدم المؤلف قراءة جديدة لمسيرة الحركة ومواقف قياداتها والمسار الذي انتهجته، فقد رفعت في البداية سقف التوقعات، وبعد ذلك ومع كل انتكاسة وهزيمة عملت بشكل حاذق على تجريع الشعب سم التفريط بالوطن قطرة قطرة.
