إن أقوى الفرائض بعد الإيمان بالله تعالى طلب العلم كما جاء في الحديث عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أنه قال طلب العلم فريضة على كل مسلم ومسلمة والعلم ميراث النبوة كما جاء في الحديث أن الأنبياء عليهم الصلاة والسلام لم يورثوا ديناراً ولا درهماً وإنما ورثوا العلم فمن أخذ به أخذ بحظ وافر.
والعلم علمان علم التوحيد والصفات وعلم الفقه والشرائع، فالأصل في علم التوحيد التمسك بالكتاب والسنة ومجانبة الهوى والبدعة كما كان عليه الصحابة والتابعون والسلف الصالحون رضوان الله عليهم أجمعين الذين أخفاهم التراب.
هذا الكتاب تذكرة لأولى الألباب، وأما علم الفقه الشرائع فهو الخير الكثير كما قال الله عزّ وجلّ ومن يؤت الحكمة فقد أوتي خيراً كثيراً قال ابن عباس رضي الله تعالى عنه الحكمة معرفة الأحكام من الحلال والحرام، وقد ندب الله تعالى إلى ذلك بقوله تعالى فلولا نفر من كل فرقة منهم طائفة ليتفقهوا في الدين ولينذروا قومهم إذا رجعوا إليهم لعلهم يحذرون فقد جعل ولاية الإنذار والدعوة للفقهاء، وهذه درجة الأنبياء، تركوها ميراثاً للعلماء، كما قال عليه الصلاة والسلام العلماء ورثة الأنبياء، وبعد إنقطاع النبوة، هذه الدرجة أعلى النهاية في القهوة.
