والصفحات التالية تقدم لنا سلسلة من الحلقات كتبها الأب الروحي بروفيسور عبد الأحد داود، وأشك كثيرًا أن يوجد عدد كبير حتى من بين رجال الكهنوت في الكنيسة ممن يستطيع أن يسلك هذا المسلك فيقدموا عرضًا ذا معرفة عميقة مثل الذي قدمه البروفيسور.
ومما يزيد الإعجاب، كيف أن البروفيسور يدخل قراءه في لغويات قديمة أحنى عليها الدهر ومضت عليها آلاف السنين.
ولنأت بمثال على هذا، اللغة الآرامية، فهناك عدد ضئيل جدًا بين رجال الكنيسة الذين يفهمون الترجمة اللاتينية للكتاب المقدس والمعتمدة عند الكنيسة الكاثوليكية أو أن يفهم النص الأصلي اليوناني للانجيل؟ وخصوصًا عندما نعتمد في أبحاثنا على تواريخ الكلمات اليونانية.
ومهما كانت قيمة هذه الأبحاث الطويلة عند من لا تروق لهم، فإننا في تلك الأيام الحالية عاجزون تمامًا على الإحساس بها- لصعوبة تراكيبها- وهذا من زاوية واحدة وهي التعمق في أغوار الكتب.
