إن توحيد العبادة هو الذي بعث الله من أجله الرسل، وشرعت الشرائع، وقامت سوق الجهاد، والجنة والنار. وحيث كان هذا الموضوع بتلك المنزلة فقد إختار الباحث موضوعاً لرسالته لنيل الدكتوراه، لا سيما في هذا الآن الذي كثرت فيه البدع والخرافات بين المسلمين، واشاح الشرك بوجهه القبيح على بعض العبادات، فصرفت لغير الله تعالى، وكل ذلك بسبب التفريط في هذا الركن الركين، والأسى المتبين ألا وهو توحيده تعالى بالعبادة، وإسلام الوجه له تعالى دون أحد سواه. بالإضافة إلى ذلك فإن هذا البحث يأتي حول هذا الموضوع أولاً، إنطلاقاً من أهمية المذهب المالكي وإنتشاره في الآفاق، ففي الموضوع دعوة لمن زل في أمر توحيد العبادة من المنتسبين للمذهب خاصته وللمسلمين عامة. ثانياً ربط كثير من الناس توحيد العبادة بعلماء مذهب دون سواه، فليست الدعوة إلى التوحيد بمذهب خاص ولكن دين الله العام. ثالثاً إبراز الجهد الكبير لعلماء المالكية، كغيرهم من علماء الأمة في عنايتهم بتوحيد العبادة الذي جاءت به الرسل. رابعاً الإنحراف الذي وقعت به البشرية عبر التاريخ ولا يزال، وهذا إنما وقع عن طريق الأنحراف في العادة فكان أن قام الباحث بمعالجة لهذا الموضوع من خلال دراسة متأنية على ضوء النصوص الشرعية من الكتاب والسنة. وتم ترتيب المسائل ضمن مقدمة وتمهيد وثلاثة أبواب وخاتمة. المقدمة شرح لأسباب إختيار الموضوع. التمهيد في نشأة المذهب المالكي، الباب الأول : التوحيد وجاء ذلك ضمن فصلين، جاء الفصل الأول في معنى التوحيد والثاني في توحيد المعرفة. أما الباب الثاني: العبادة وفيه فصلان: الأول منها في تعريف العبادة لغة وإصطلاحاً، والثاني من أنواع العبادة وشروط صحتها. الباب الثالث وفيه تمهيد وفصلان أما الفصل الأول فقد جاء حول التعريف بالشرك وبيان سببه. ودار الفصل الثالث حول أنواع الشرك. وتضمنت الخاتمة عرض لأهم النتائج.
