قصة الأطفال الإ إنها مناسبة لكل الأعمار أستطاع لويس كارول بلغته الفريدة والمتفردة ، أن يصل إلي عقول وقلوب الأعمار كلها . الطفل الذي يقرؤها يلمسه خيالها الجامح . ومغامراتها الممتعة المختلفة التي تسعي لمحاكاة الواقع يستوحي تفاصيلها ويربط الواقع بتصورات لا يسكنها الإ الخيال. أما الشاب فيقرؤها بحس مختلف، حيث يبدأ رحلة البحث عن الخبايا والخفايا الكامنة في عالم أليس السحري، سيدرك مغزي كارول حينما قال: "لكل الأشياء مغزاها اسع جاهدا لاكتشافه فقط" أما المثقف النهم للقراءة الملم ببعض أسرار المنطق والفلسفة والرياضيات إلي جانب معارفه عن التاريخ والعصور وخبراته بالظواهر النفسية . فيستطيع إلي حد كبير إدراك مقصد كارول من حكايته.
إلي يومنا هنا وبعد سنوات طويلة لاتزال التفسيرات قائمة وإكتشافات المعاني الكامنة بين السطور والأحداث العجيبة المستمرة.
