(رحلة إلى الهند) من روائع الأدب العالمي للكاتب البريطاني الشهير "إدوارد مورجان فوستر" (1874-1970م) تدور أحداث الرواية في إحدى ولايات الهند أثناء الإحتلال البريطاني وتهدف إلى إبراز طبيعة العلاقة بين المستعمر الجديد والشعب الهندي. وتصور الرواية تصويراً دقيقاً لصراع بين طريقتين في الحياة: طريق التفطير العاطفي وطريقة التفكير العقلاني كما قدمت وجهة نظر إمكانية التعايش بين الأديان واتضح ذلك جلياً في تصور الكاتب للعلاقات السائدة بين المسلمين والهندوس في الرواية، مما يدل على قناعة "فورستر" أن تعدد الديانات في بلد لا يعني بالضرورة الصراع الثقافي.
تتحدث الرواية عن فتاة انجليزية تدعى "كويستد" وطبيب هندي كانت ستتزوجه لولا وقوع أحداث أليمة، عندما قبض عليه بتهمة الإعتداء عليها، ولكن عندما قدمت القضية للمحاكمة سحبت الآنسة كويستد الإتهام وأطلق سراح الطبيب، وعادت الفتاة بمفردها يائسة.
توزعت الرواية على ثلاثة أجزاء وإثنتان وثلاثون فصلاً وجاءت باللغتين العربية والإنكليزية نقلها إلى العربية سمير عزت نصار.
