يحتوي هذا الكتاب الذي بين أيدينا على دراسة تحليلية للسيرة المحمدية على ضوء الكتاب والسنة والتاريخ الصحيح، وتميز هذه الدراسة بميزتين هامين أولها: أن المؤلف لهذه السيرة عمد فيها إلى تناول الحوادث والوقائع المهمة ذات الفائدة الكبرى والعبرة بالبحث والتحليل مع إبعاد الأحداث الجزئية الصغرى، مستمداً تلك الأحداث من المصادر الأصلية والأولية التي دونت من القرون الإسلامية المشرقة الأولى.
وثانيها أنه أشار خلال الدراسة إلى الاعتراضات والإشكالات، وإلى مواطن الإساءة التي قدمها المستشرقين، وتناولها بالإجابة على كل تلك الانتقادات غير الصحيحة بأجوبة مقنعة وقاطعة، ولهذا بادر إلى ذكر رأي المؤلفين الشيعة في المسائل التي اختلف عليها مؤرخو السنة والشيعة، مع ذكر المصادر والشواهد التاريخية الواضحة المبرهنة.
