هذا الكتاب "مغني المحتاج إلى معرفة معاني ألفاظ المنهاج" للكاتب الشيخ "شمس الدين محمد بن محمد الخطيب الشربيني الشافعي"، أعتمد في منهج كتابه على متن "منهاج الطالبين" للإمام "محيي الدين أبي زكريا يحيى بن شرف النووي الشافعي"؛ حيث شرح فيه هذا المتن الجليل في الفقه الإسلامي، فأظهر درره، ونظم جوهره، وبين دقائقه وغوامضه، واهتم بشرح فروع الفقه ومسائله...
ولأهمية هذا الكتاب اعتنى بتحقيقه "عبد الرزاق النجم" حيث عمل فيه على مدى عامين تحقيقاً وتدقيقاً وتمحيصاً وتصحيحاً معتمداً في منهج تحقيقه على ردُّ الآيات إلى سُورها الكريمة، التعريف بالعلاّمة الإمام النووي صاحب متن "منهاج الطالبين"، التعريف بالإمام "محمد الشربيني الخطيب"؛ صاحب الشرح المسمّى بــ"مغني المحتاج إلى معرفة معاني ألفاظ المنهاج"، ضبط المتن بالشكل الكامل مع إضافة علامات الترقيم المناسبة، إعتماد نسخة الدكتور "أحمد بن عبد العزيز الحدّاد في ضبط المتن، ومن بعدها كان الإعتماد على نسخة البابيّ الحلبيِّ، وإصلاح الأخطاء التي وقعت فيها نسخة البابيِّ الحلبيِّ مع إثبات الصحيح المعتمد، وإثبات علامات الترقيم المناسبة له، وضبط الكلمات الغريبة التي وردت في الشرح بالشكل المناسب لها مع إيضاح معناها من أمّهات كتب اللغة المعتمدة عند المختصّين، وضبط الأحاديث الواردة في هذا السفر بالشكل الكامل، وتخريج أحاديث الكتاب كاملةً من مظانِّها، ذكر الأحاديث التي أومأ إليها الشارح، التعليق على مسائل الكتاب بما هو شارح لها أو مقيّدٌ لمطلقها أو مخصّصٌ لعمومها، أو بما فيه زيادة على مسائل هذا السِّفْرٍ بما يتمِّمُ الفائدة ويغني الكتاب، عزو بعض الأحكام الفقهيّة إلى المذاهب الأخرى مع الإشارة إلى المراجع المعتمدة في ذلك توسيعاً للمدارك وتتميماً للفائدة، وضع عناوين فرعيَّة للفقرات المهمَّة بين معقوفين تسهيلاً للبحث وإيضاحاً للمراد، التعريف بالرموز التي تكثر في شروح المذهب، ورموز المؤلِّفين، وإصطلاحات السَّادة الشافعية في كتبهم وأسفارهم، صنع فهرس تفصيليِّ لمسائل الكتاب وذلك في نهاية كلِّ جزء منه ليسهل الرجوع إلى الموضوع المراد البحث فيه.
