"سيرة طاولة" كتاب يروي سيرة الجلسات ذات المحاور الأدبية والسياسية والاجتماعية التي كانت تعقد بداية في فندق (زهرة الشرق) بالرياض وانتقلت بعد ذلك إلى فندق حياة ريجنسي ثم عادة من جديد إلى فندق السعودية وما زالت تعقد حتى يومنا هذا. وفيها يجتمع لفيف من مثقفي العالم العربي أمثال: حسن ظاظا، وفائق فهيم وكمال عبد الغني، ومسلم صبري، وضياء الحكيم، ومحمد عبد الرزاق فتاحي، ومحمد عكل وهزاع بن عيد الشمري مؤلف هذا الكتاب.
وفيه بعد وأسماء من شاركه الجلوس على هذه الطاولة من المؤسسين لها ثم الأعضاء الدائمون غير المؤسسين ثم ضيوف الجلسة، وأخيراً يورد حديثاً جاء على لسان الطاولة العضو الدائم للجلسة والتي حاولت طرح بعض ما كان يحدث على سطحها من أحاديث، ومشادات كلامية وأحداث راقية ومعلومات جادة رقيقة ونقاش رفيع وحوارات ممتعة، وقصائد حلوة، وكلام عبثي لا فائدة في ورائه أو حديث استفزازي نتج عنه اشتباك بين الجلوس وإنسحاب بعضهم بل وضرب بالطفايات والكراسي.
