فزّ، فوجد نفسه ميّتاً، دخل التابوت وأوصده على بقاياه، حمله على رأسه. استعاد أسطورة الهدهد. كانت علاقته بعمّال البلدية سيئة جداً، على الرغم من أنه لم يكن يخلّف أية فضلات أو حتى بصقات. استمر حاملاً تابوته إلى مكان كان قد عيّنه سلفاً، أنزله من على رأسه، ثم ابتدأ النحت في أرض صخرية، أدهشه جمال مدفنه، دخل مسرعاً ووارى جسده دقيق الحجر، ولكنه من فرط موته، لم يجد قدميه.
