باحث وناقد أدبي ومترجم، أستاذ الأدب الحديث في جامعة اليرموك- الأردن، حصل على الدكتوراة من جامعة فريدريش فيلهلم- بون- ألمانيا عام 1986. وعمل أستاذاً زائراً في أكثر من جامعة أردنية وعربية.
أصدر عدداً من الدراسات من أبرزها: "الانتحار في الأدب العربي"، "باريس في الأدب العربي" و"دوائر المقارنة".وغيرها. كما أن له العديد من الكتب المترجمة عن الالمانية، نذكر منها: "يوميات فرانتس كافكا 1910-1923"، "آدم باحث وناقد أدبي ومترجم، أستاذ الأدب الحديث في جامعة اليرموك- الأردن، حصل على الدكتوراة من جامعة فريدريش فيلهلم- بون- ألمانيا عام 1986. وعمل أستاذاً زائراً في أكثر من جامعة أردنية وعربية.

حائز على جائزة أفضل كتاب مترجم للعام الجامعي 2007 التي تمنحها جامعة فيلادلفيا الأردنية عن كتاب ما بعد اليوتوبيات.
Book Description
يحوي هذا الكتاب عدداً من الدراسات تتولى قراءة نماذج من السيرة الذاتية العربية المعاصرة، أقدم أصحابها بوعي وقصد على تدوين نصوص تنشغل بالأنا، تاريخها وسماتها وبيئتها وعلائقها ومعاناتها وتجاربها وتحولاتها. وهذا اللون من الكتابة ينهض من حيث المرجعية على أنا بعينها، لها وجودها المشخص وكيانها الحي، وهويتها المميزة ومنجزها المعروف. وهذه الأنا تحكي تاريخها الشخصي، في خضم تاريخ جمعي تتحرك في إطاره وتتشكل ضمن إيقاعه ونبضه. يثير هذا اللون من الكتابة مجموعة من التساؤلات، تفضي في مجملها إلى محاولة اكتناه ماهية السيرة الذاتية، وخصائصها ومدى قدرتها على بناء نوع أدبي Genre له تاريخه النوعي وشروطه الجمالي، إن أبرز سمات السيرة الذاتية تتمثل في التطابق بين السارد و الشخصية الفاعلة والمؤلف. وقد قاد هذا التطابق فيليب لوجون إلى الاعتقاد بوجود ما سماه بالميثاق السيري. فالسير الذاتية تقترح في تصوره، اتفاقاً مع المسرود له، يحثه على قراءة النص الذي بين يديه بوصفه سيرة حياة الطرف الأول. لكن القراءة لا تؤدي إلى رؤية واحدة بل تفضي إلى تأويلات مختلفة، بالنظر لتعددها واختلاف مستوياتها. فالحديث عن السيرة على هذا النحو، يوهم بتجانس غير متحقق، ويفضي إلى لون من الأحادية في الوعي الكتابي يصعب تصوره.
