أعدّ أبحاثًا لأفلام تسجيلية عن الثقافة والسياسة في فلسطين.
حصل على المركز الأوّل في جائزة فلسطين للصحافة والإعلام، فئة القصة الصحفية عام 2011، وجائزة العودة التقديرية للتأريخ الشفوي عن بحث "حكايات من برّ القدس" عام 2008.

تكمن أهمية هذا الكتاب في مؤهلات الكاتب: فهو مطلع على المادة بقدر كاف يؤهله للكتابة عنها دون إهمال تعقيداتها وأبعادها، وإدراك مخاطر الإثارة المحيطة بها. وفي الوقت الذي ينجز فيها مهمته، كونه كاتباً، وباقتدار، فإنه لا يهمل بيئة المادة. فعندما يتطرق الكاتب إلى النقاط الرئيسية ذات العلاقة بمخطوطات البحر الميت، فإنه لا يهمل الجانب "الإنساني" المرتبط باكتشافها. إضافة إلى ذلك، فإنه يوظف عرضه ذلك للإشارة إلى جانب مهم ليس من قضية (المخطوطات) فقط وإنما أيضا من مسألة آثار بلادنا وكيفية التعامل معها حيث تختفي الكثير منها وتنقل إلى بلاد الغرب بسبب إهمال الأنظمة.
وما يزيد من أهمية هذا المؤلف أنه يتعرض إلى موضوع لم يتعامل معه أحد من قبل بهذه الطريقة، على حد علمنا، وهو (اختصار البحر الميت)، وتأثير ذلك على بيئة فلسطين والسكان، ولكن من دون الدخول في متاهات الأرقام والإحصاءات.. الخ. كما أنه لم ينس تواطؤ منظمات البيئة في الغرب بصمتها المريب عن تلك الكارثة التي تلحقها المشاريع التصنيعية ذوات الأهداف السياسية المفضوحة، وغض الطرف عن دور "إسرائيل" النشط في تدمير البيئة وتوسع رقعة فجوة الأوزن.
في الوقت نفسه، فإن الكاتب يولي معاناة الفلسطينيين اليومية على حواجز العدو وكذلك تلك المرتبطة بالطرق الالتفافية، إضافة إلى سياسة قضم الأراضي.. الخ، في ظل الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، وآثاره المدمرة عليهم، لكن ضمن سياق مادته. إنه وباختصار، شهادة قيمة، من إنسان واع يعايش تلك الحياة، بصعوباتها وتعقيداتها، وينقل إلى القارئ بعض من عبق فلسطين، أو جزء منها، وأريج تربتها الطيبة، لكل ليس على حساب موضوع الكتاب الرئيس الذي يتصدر الأولوية.
