في خواطر الشاعرة "عزة منفرد على وتر الذات، وحيرة شاعرة أضاعت الجهات، فلاذت بصمت هادئ/ انتهى بتساؤل دال على نفس مزيزة بالحزن، مشحونة بهم صارخ متوحد يعبر عما في نفسها: "... "أنا"، أنا حين تحضنني؟/ أم حين أراقص في أمسٍ/ قريب/ أحبائي البعيدين؟/ لم يعتب أمسنا على غدنا؟/ فيعتب حاضرنا على حاضرنا/ تصبح مشاعرنا/ التقاءات دقائق/ ذكرى تنمق الغضب(...)". وهكذا في بقية قصائد المجموعة كلمات تدفقت من نبض القلب، وانحدرت مع ومع العين، وفي ذات الوقت تفتح شباكها للحلم وتنتظر الانطلاق فالرحلة بدأت مع عزة، ولما تنته، وهي مملوءة بكل شائق آسر.
توزع الكتاب على سبعة عناوين هي: 1- المدينة، 2- المعركة، 3- الهند، 4- خواطر مصرَفة بين النَحن والأنا، 5- من الغزل، 6- النساء، 7- السنونو، ويفصل بين القصائد رسوم للشاعرة نفسها بالأبيض والأسود "... كانت نتيجة خلط استوحيته من أسلوب المنمنمات الهندية، المطبوعات اليابانية للفنان هيروشيفة، الصور السوريالية لأوديلون رودون، والسَرد الصوري في "ويلات حرب" للفنان فرانسيسكو غويا" هكذا تقول الشاعرة في مقدمة كتابها...
