يبحث هذا الكتاب في أهمية الخطاب ودوره في تشكيل الأمة المسلمة، وتحريك روادها، وإثارة فاعليتها، وتغيير واقعها، وبناء حضارتها، وتصويب مسيرتها، وإنضاج عقلها، وحسن قراءة تراثها، وتجديد معالم حياتها، وصوغ مصطلحاتها، وإبصار مستقبلها، وتحقيق منعتها، وحمايتها من الذوبان والانقراض.
فالخطاب (القرآن) كان وراء إخراج الأمة المسلمة وجعلها خير أمة أخرجت للناس، وهو الوسيلة الأساس في معاودة إخراج الأمة وتحقيق شهودها الحضاري.
فإن ما يملكه المسلمون من قيم الوحي، في القرآن والسنة الصحيحة والسيرة العملية، لتنزيل هذه القيم على واقع الناس، يشكل لهم مرجعية، ويحول دون اجتماعهم على الضلال.
ويسرد الكتاب مجموعة استفهامات يجب الإجابة عنها حتى يصبح خطابنا الإسلامي مثمراً:
1- لماذا الخطاب: إبصار الأهداف والمقاصد بدقة ؟
2- ولمن الخطاب: معرفة أحوال المخاطبين، وثقافتهم، وتاريخهم، ومشكلاتهم، ومستوياتهم الحضارية، ومعاناتهم، واهتماماتهم، وتجاربهم ؟
3- وكيف: اختبار الوسائل، ومشروعيتها، وفاعليتها، وقدرتها على أداء دورها ؟
4- ومتى: معرفة الزمان ومكوناته، فما يصلح لزمان قد لا يصلح لآخر، وما يصلح لجيل قد لا يصلح لغيره ؟
5- وأين: معرفة الواقع، بكل مكوناته وتركيباته وطوائفه ومشكلاته ؟
وبعد هذا كله يأتي السؤال الكبير:
هل أدى خطابنا إلى ما نصبوا إليه، أم أن هناك خللاً حال دون تحقيق المقاصد والأهداف ؟
وهل نمارس عملية المناصحة والمراجعة، لنأخذ عبرة وعظة ونصوّب أخطاؤنا، ونغني تجاربنا، لجولات قادمة، قبل أن تحيط بنا أخطاؤنا ؟
