سامية بكري كاتبة صحفية بمجلة حريتي التابعة لدار الجمهورية للصحافة، ولدت بمدينة القاهرة ،حصلت على الثانوية العامة بترتيب السادس على الجمهورية وتم تكريمها ضمن أوائل الثانوية العامة ودرست الصحافة بكلية الاعلام -جامعة القاهرة ،ثم تدرجت في العمل الصحفي حتى وصلت الى منصب نائب رئيس تحرير مجلة حريتي ،مارست الكتابة الصحفية في عدة دوريات ثقافية أهمها مجلة الدوحة القطرية، وبعض الصحف منها جريدة الحياة اللندنية ، ومجلة كل الاسرة الاماراتية ومجلة زينة السعودية
صدر لها أربعة كتب ؛هي : ظرفاء الفيس بوك -كتاب ساخر ورواية ونسة ومجموعة قصصية بعنوان رقصة مؤجلة وكتاب مشترك مع عدة كاتبات بعنوان لاشيء للرجال فقط.
حصلت على جائزة إحسان عبد القدوس في القصة القصيرة ، حصلت على ورش عمل ثقافية وأدبية أهمها ورشة الحكاية ومافيها للكاتب محمد عبد النبي وورشة السيناريو للكاتب والسيناريست عبد الرحيم كمال وورشة للكتابة للطفل للدكتورة سمية رمضان الاستاذ بأكاديمية الفنون
