كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يدعو بأدعية كثيرة متنوعة، يحمد الله تعالى فيها ويمجده ويثني عليه وكان يقرأ تارة بهذه وتارة بهذه، فليدع المسلم بما شاء منها، أو يجمعها، إن استطاع، يستجاب له إن شاء تعالى، وذلك إذا تحققت أسباب الدعاء.
وفي هذا الكتاب يأخذ المؤلف بيد القارئ ليعرفه على مفاتيح أسرار آداب الدعاء وكيفيته مع مجموعة من الأدعية الخاصة والعامة يتوجه بها المسلم إلى ربه ليكون أكثر قرباً من ربه قلباً وقالباً، ذهناً وحواساً، فيُستجيب له ربه الأكرم الذي هو لسؤل عبده سامع، ولطلبه مجيب، إذا كان العبد من ربه قريب، والذي يقربه من ربه ذكره له دائماً في قلبه وبلسانه.
وهذا ما سيعرفه القارئ من هذا الكتاب الذي سيبين له فضل الذكر وآدابه وفضل الدعاء وآدابه والأوقات والأماكن التي تجاب فيها الدعوات ليقدم له بعد ذلك أدعية القرآن الكريم وأدعية وأذكار المرض والموت والجنازة، وأدعية متفرقة ومن ثم يقدم له أدعية وأذكار جامعة.
هذا الكتاب بحث المؤلف فيه بأسلوب سهل لطيف فضل الذكر والدعاء، وآداب كلٍّن والأوقات والأماكن التي تجاب فيها الدعوات، وصفات الذين تستجاب دعواتهم.
ثم جمع فيه أدعية وأذكاراً استقاها من القرآن الكريم ومأثور السنة النبوية، فيما يحتاجه العبد في كل أحواله، وأوقاته، وحاجاته، وقد ردها الصحابة رضوان الله عليهم، ولمسوا جدواها في كل أمر من أمور حياتهم، وحفظها التابعون من بعدهم إلى يومنا هذا وإلى يوم الدين...
والجدير بكل مسلم أن يتنبه لذلك، ولا يغفل عن الذكر والدعاء، لأنهما يلازمانه في كل لحظة، ويذكرانه بربه، والله أحسن القائلين (وإذا سألك عبادي عني فإني قريب أجيب دعوة الداع إذا دعان، فليستجيبوا لي وليؤمنوا بي لعلهم يرشدون).
