صدرَتْ له، غير الدراسات الثقافية في الغناء والموسيقى العربيين، مجموعاتٌ شعرية ورواية.
حائز على جائزة الشعر العربي 2005 ـ من جريد الرياض بالمملكة العربية السعودية، صدرت له خمس مجموعات شعرية آخرها "أهوال العدو" (2009)، ودراسات في الثقافة العربية آخرها: "ما وراء الوجه: سياسات الكتابة وثقافات المقاومة" (2010)، وهو صاحب رواية "سورة الرياض" (2007) عن دار الفارابي التي حققت أعلى مبيعات في معرض الكتاب الدولي بالرياض 2008.

"أذكرك لأعرف نفسي.. يتيم أنفاسك في رحلة الاحتضار، صيف أزرق يختمر بجلدي، مكسور إليك، يا تعبي الذكي.. رائحة الأمس من حاجبي تدعك لأتضورك، أيها الآتي من جفني الساطع فيك، يا شهيد لذتي..! يا رجل البحار..! أعد إياي لي.. غامراً أنت، وتظل كذلك! حدود أشرعتي، جزيرتاك الحمراوان إذ ترياني بكبرياء الشبق.. بي أفعاك متوجة رمل الصراخ، بي أفعاك متوجة بالرمل، بي أفعاك متوجة، بي أفعاك.. بي أنت أنا بك أيها المنتزع من مسامي ألدك لتلدني. نار تمر تسميني أناها، أجرفني بهوائك، يا طريد شغفي..! كبرت أيامي بفمك الجامعني، ساهر فيك بكفي ينتحر الانتظار، أين أسلاكي..؟".
"..شعرت من خلال القراءة المتمعنة، بأنك قريب من مشروعي الفلسفي وأنك تبحث في شعريتك، خلف الكثرة اللغوية عن الواحدي وليس الواحد.. إن جوهر الشعرية هو "الواحدي" وليس الواحد أو التوحيد.
هو الرؤية التي تتراءى في ألق الليل، في رحم الدلالات والمعنى، إذ ليست الفلسفة بحثاً عن معنى شارد أو معرفة ضائعة بل هي تصويب نحو الواحدي المتواري في الكاوس العدمي.
..سررت كثيراً، لأنني شعرت بان شاعراً يحمل ثقافة عالية راقية يتابع مشروعي الفلسفي ويحاول أن يؤسس شعرية جديدة تتحدى القديم والبالي رافعة الشعر العربي إلى مستوى إنسانية العالم.
..الشاعر نبي، راء، يكون اللغة ويفتح الآفاق على الواحدي الغارق في الكاوس اللغوي".
