حائز على جائزة الشعر العربي 2005 ـ من جريد الرياض بالمملكة العربية السعودية، صدرت له خمس مجموعات شعرية آخرها "أهوال العدو" (2009)، ودراسات في الثقافة العربية آخرها: "ما وراء الوجه: سياسات الكتابة وثقافات المقاومة" (2010)، وهو صاحب رواية "سورة الرياض" (2007) عن دار الفارابي التي حققت أعلى مبيعات في معرض الكتاب الدولي بالرياض 2008.
Book Description
السحارة في كلام أهل الخليج تسمية تطلق على صندوق خشبي مزين بفصوص ومزركش بألوان، كان يستخدم قديماً ما بين القرن الثامن عشر حتى منتصف القرن العشرين لحفظ الحوائج. كذلك هي تسمية تطلق على آلة الحاكي Gramophone.
وفي هذا الكتاب الذي يؤرخ فيه المؤلف لفن الغناء الخليجي والجزيرة العربية، يلقي الضوء على فرسان تركوا أصواتهم المعبأة في الأسطوانات. كما يقدم مقالات ودراسات كتبها متفرقة طاولت فنوناً ما زالت حاضرة في ذاكرة المكان الخليجي، خصص بعضها للنهمة من فن الغجري (غناء البحر)، وفن الصوت (غناء المدينة)، كما خصص البعض الآخر لغناء عبد الكريم عبد القادر مع الملحن عبد الرب إدريس لكونها تمثل نقلة خطيرة كما أنها حاسمة للغناء في الخليج في مرحلة السبعينيات من القرن العشرين، نحو تمدين غناء يطرح مأساة وجود الإنسان الخليجي. كما يتناول المؤلف تجربة غناء محمد المسباح لكونه آخر عنقود جيل الثمانينات.
وفي الكتاب نصوص نقدية تتميز بقراءة تراثية ومعاصرة في آن واحد تتصل بشؤون الصوت النسائي ممثلة بصوت هدى عبد الله، إضافة إلى مقالين تأبينين أحدهما للشاعر أمين عيسى والثاني للملحن راشد الخضر، وأضاف المؤلف لذلك ملحقاً يحتوي أول لقاء صحفي أجرى معه إثر صدور كتابه الأول في النقد الموسيقي.
هذا الكتاب الثاني لأحمد الواصل في النقد الموسيقي، بعد "الصوت والمعنى" الصادر عن الدار نفسها أيضاً، فهو يأخذ اتجاهاً نقدياً ثقافياً مميزاً في حقل الغناء والموسيقى العربيين، ليحفر ثقوب المادة التراثية والمعاصرة من هذا الغناء بشعره وموسيقاه في الخليج عبر مقدمة ودراسات، موظفاً كل ما توافر عليه من عدة نقدية فاعلة، إذ تستلهم علوماً إنسانية باتت من الأهمية بقدر لفهم الشاهد على الماضي والمأمول في المستقبل...
