ولإنه لا يمكن محاكمة الإيديولوجيا بجريرة ممارسيها يولي الكاتب أهمية لإعادة بناء وصياغة الرؤى والأهداف التي تحملها ايديولوجيا اليسار بصورة واضحة ودقيقة على أساس علمي، سوف يساعد برأيه على خلق مناخات معنوية ونفسية تضاعف أعداد المشاركين في الحراك وتزيد في فعاليته، بتبديدها الإلتباسات الحاصلة في الوعي الإجتماعي، جراء التطورات الحالية...
وعليه، يبدو الهدف النهائي من هذا الكتاب، السعي لاكتشاف سبل نضال مستقبلية، بعد الإنتكاسة الفكرية والسياسية والمعنوية لقوى اليسار، وإيجاد دور فاعل لها في مواجهة استراتيجيات جديدة ولا سيما رأسمالية العولمة، فهل أفلح غسان الرفاعي أم لا هذا ما سيبحث عنه القارئ بين دفتي هذا الكتاب.
