ويستقي هذه الرؤية التي هي ليست إبداعاً وابتداعاً، من مبادئ قطعية، وعمومات في الشرع تؤسس الرحمة للجميع، وتلغي الضرر والضرار، وتقر قبلة كل دين وتجعل الأرض سياحة مباحة للجميع. وتدعو المختلفين إلى المنافسة الحضارية، لا إلى الصدام والصراع وتشد الحكمة والجدال الهادف إلى حقائق الحق من دون تشنج أو عنف.
وبيدي انحيازه إلى موضوعية قيم الأشياء والأفعال كالعدل والجور، لا إلى مشكلتيها الموروثة عن الأشاعرة. ويقدم تأويلاً لآيات الحاكمية التي في سورة المائدة يجمع بين السبك الإعجازي للنظم القرآني، ويبين معالجة عقدة الإكفار (التكفير) فيمن ابتلوا بها، واشتبه عليهم هذه الآيات. وبيدي مشروع حوار ونظر، موضوعه ضرورة اجتماعية تاريخية، لا متعة فكرية.
