الأستاذ الدكتور مُحمَّد مُحمَّد إمام داود (1 يونيو1956م) كاتب وداعية إسلامي مصري. حاصل على درجة الدكتوراه بتقدير ممتاز مع مرتبة الشرف من كلية دار العلوم ـ جامعة القاهرة.
وهو أستاذ علم اللغة بكلية الآداب، جامعة قناة السويس، وخبير بمجمع اللغة العربية بالقاهرة ( لجنة الألفاظ والأساليب ).
نشأته
ـ وُلد في قرية سقارة، وهي إحدى القرى التابعة لمركز البدرشين في محافظة الجيزة.
مؤهله العلمي
ـ التحق بكلية الآداب ـ جامعة القاهرة، وتخرج فيها، ثم حصل على الدكتوراه من كلية دار العلوم ـ جامعة القاهرة عام 1997م بتقدير ممتاز مع مرتبة الشرف.

مجال العربية المعاصرة مجال خصب وبكر، فقليلة هي تلك الدراسات التي اهتمت بالعربية المعاصرة، وبخاصة في الجانب التطبيقي. ولما كانت اللغة العربية هي مرآة المجتمع، تعكس كل مظاهر التطور في الحياة داخل المجتمع، فإن ألفاظ اللغة تلبس في كل عصر ثوباً من المعاني يتلاءم مع واقع الحياة وأحداثها في هذا العصر، ولما كان الوقوف على الملامح اللغوية للغة ما لا يتأتى إلا بالاعتماد على الواقع الحي للغة، لأجل هذا كان للبحوث اللغوية اللصيقة بواقع العربية المعاصرة أهمية خاصة بين الدراسات اللغوية.
ومجال الحركة من أهم المجالات اللغوية التي تربط بحركة الحياة وما بها من متغيرات ومواليد جديدة. كل هذا كان دافعاً قوياً ومبرراً لاختيار أفعال الحركة في العربية المعاصرة، موضوعاً لهذا الدراسة التي جاءت في أصلها رسالة للدكتوراة قدمها المؤلف لينال على أثرها درجة الدكتوراه، وهي تشمل بعد المقدمة على تمهيد وبابين وخاتمة وثبت بمصادر الدراسة ومراجعها. تناول التمهيد مادة الدراسة وأسلوب جمع العينية، وأتى الباب الأول والثاني لدراسة أفعال الحركة الانتقالية، أما الباب الثاني في الدراسة فتحدث عن أفعال الحركة الوضعية.
