وجدت في مجلس عرفات عدداً من الذين أعرفهم ومنهم سعيد حمامي، الذي غدا من المقربين جداً إلى الزعيم، وحين دخلت قدمت فتوح ليدخل قلبي ثم تبعته، فهل أدرك عرفات ما توخيته حين لم أجئ بمفردي؟ ليست أدري. لكني لا استبعد هذا الاحتمال، والواقع أن الرجل هب لاستقبالنا باشاً، وأخلى لنا مكانين بجانبه، وتجاهل أنه استدعاني وحدي، وقال إنه استدعانا كلينا ليخصنا وحدنا، تحت أقرب الصحافيين إليه، بحديث عن عشر النسور ووقائع لم تنشر من قبل. بدل عرفات إذاً خطته، وعرض، كعادته، صفقة عرضاً غير مباشر: أحكي ما تنفردان بنشرة فينفعكما السبق الصحافي وتسامحان وأسامح. وبدل معاتبتي أو لومي، استغل عرفات وجود الصحافي المصري فشاء أني علمني، أن الفلسطيني ابن الثورة، كيف تروى الوقائع في نحو تستفيد الثورة منه، وما كان أعجب ما رواه الرجل في ذلك اللقاء!
في هذا النحو، حيث يمتزج السرد القصصي والتحليل المعمق مع الرؤية الشخصية، يواصل فيصل حوراني تقديم شهادته، وفي هذا الكتاب تغطي الشهادة الحقبة بين 1968 و1978، فترصد التحولات الكبرى التي جرت فيها وتضع مكنوناتها وأسرارها تحت الضوء.
"أين بقية الحكاية" هو الجزء الخامس من ملحمة "دروب المنفى" الفلسطينية، التي تفرغ الكاتب لكتابتها طيلة اثنتي عشرة سنة، وقد صدر منها أربعة أجزاء: "الوطن في الذاكرة"، "الصعود إلى الصفر"، "زمن الأسئلة"، "الجري إلى الهزيمة"، وها نحن نقدم للقارئ مسك ختام هذا العمل الأدبي الفلسطيني المهم.
