يرى بعض كتّابنا أن قضية إنصاف المرأة هي قضية مخترعة، ولا يعاني المجتمع المسلم من أي مشكلة في هذا الخصوص؛ بل إنَّ ما يجري هو إعادة إنتاج لقضية المرأة الغربية وإسقاطها على المجتمع المسلم، وخلق لواقع وهمي غير موجود!
فهل قيمة المرأة الإنسانية في النص القرآني هي ذاتها في تأويلات المفسرين؟
تستعرض هذه الدراسة، بصورة مجملة، واقع المرأة على مر التاريخ عند العرب وغيرهم قبل الإسلام وبعده، ثم دراسة مفهوم المرأة في مواضع متعددة في القرآن عن طريق نقل كلام المفسرين وتحليله وإقصاء التأويلات الخاطئة التي لا يوجد لها أي سند نصي من القرآن أو من صحيح الأثر، إذ إنَّ مفهوم المرأة مع خلفية اجتماعية عربية تميل إلى تقاليد جاهلية أو أساطير إسرائيلية، يختلف عن مفهوم المرأة الوارد في النص القرآني، ذلك المفهوم الذي يتشكل عبر سياق مترابط في آيات بيّنات.
وهذا الكتاب يجيب عن تساؤلات يطرحها: ما مفهوم المرأة عبر التاريخ عند الفلاسفة اليونان، والمسلمين؟ وما مفهوم المرأة عند المفسرين؟ وهل أجحفوها حقاً؟، أم أن دراسة أقوالهم هي من سبيل الترف لا الحاجة الملحّة! ثم ما مفهوم المرأة في القرآن الكريم؟
