لمَّا كانَ كتابُ "أساس البلاغة" للزمخشريِّ (ت 538هـ) نسيجَ وحده بينَ معجمات العربيّة - وإنْ كان معجماً موجزاً يفتقرُ إلى مزيدٍ من التقصّي والإستيعاب - فمؤلفُه قد تخيّرَ ما وقعَ في عباراتِ المُبدعين، وانطوى على إستعمالاتِ المفلقين، أو ما جازَ وقوعُه فيها وانطواؤه تحتها من التراكيبِ التي تملحُ وتحسنُ، ومن خصائصِه الإستدلالُ على مناهجِ التركيبِ والتأليف ومعرفة مدارج الترتيب والترصيف من خلالِ سَوقِ الكلماتِ متناسقةً مع الإستكثارِ من نوابغِ الكلمِ الهاديةِ إلى مراشدِ حرِّ المنطقِ، وفيهِ إفرادُ المجازِ عن الحقيقةِ والكناية عن التصريح.
وقد نهجَ الزمخشريُّ في تفسيره لألفاظِ الحديثِ وشرحِه لها منهجاً خاصاً به، فهو لا يسهبُ في تفسيرهِ في كثيرٍ من الأحيان، بل ربما فسْرَ الحديثَ بكلمةٍ واحدةٍ، وقد لا يفسْرُ اللفظَ بل يشيرُ إلى مواطنِ إستعماله له تاركاً للقارئ إستخلاصَ معناه من العبارةِ التي يَرِدُ فيها، وكأنّهُ إلتزمَ ما يوافقُ عنوان الكتاب، وهو أساسُ البلاغة.
وقد جاء كتابُنا هذا؛ أيدرسَ ألفاظَ الحديثِ التي فسْرَها الزمخشريُّ، متأمّلينَ من ذلكَ أنْ تضيءَ جانباً مهماً من إهتماماتِ المُؤلِّفِ في هذا الكتابِ.
