الفلسفة العربية الإسلامية كتاب يمثل مدخلاً إلى دراسة الفلسفة عامة والفلسفة العربية الإسلامية خاصة، ففيه سيجد القارئ بعض المقدمات الفلسفية التي لا غنى عنها أبدأ لكل من مود تحصيل الفلسفة واكتناه حقيقتها، ومعرفة الفرق بينها وبين العلم، ثم يعرض الكتاب بعد ذلك لمشكلة الفلسفة العربية الإسلامية وخصائصها والشكوى التي تثار حولها، ويبين هناك حقاً فلسفة بهذا المعنى أم هي تكرار لما عند اليونان، وينتقل الكتاب بعد ذلك إلى بحث نظرية تفوق الأخباس البشرية، بعضها على بعض دعما إذا كان هناك تفاوت بين الأمم والشعوب، وسيلمس القارئ تهافت هذه النظرية وتخلي أصحابها عنها نظرياً على الأقل وفي أدراج المجامع العلمية، كما يعرض الكتاب أيضاً لفكرة التلاقح الثقافي بين الشعوب وتأثر بعضها ببعض وعدم استغناء بعضها.
