الدكتور علي سعيد بدوان، كاتب ومحلل سياسي فلسطيني معروف في سوريا، من مواليد مخيم اليرموك دمشق عام 1959 بعد أن كانت قد لجأت أسرته من مدينة حيفا إلى سوريا عام نكبة فلسطين.
درس المراحل التعليمية الأولى في مدراس وكالة الأونروافي مخيم اليرموك، وتابع دراسته الجامعية فحصل على البكالوريوس في العلوم الأساسية (فيزياء وكيمياء) من كلية العلوم جامعة دمشق بدرجة شرف.
ودبلوم في التربية من كلية التربية في جامعة دمشق.
وعلى العلوم السياسية من جامعة شنغهاي في الصين،إضافة لبكالوريوس في العلو م العسكرية من كلية المشاة العسكرية في الجيش العربي السوري أثناء خدمة العلم في صفوف جيش التحرير الفلسطيني.
أنضوى مبكراً في صفوف العمل السياسي الفلسطيني والجبهة الديمقراطية لتحرير فلسطين عام 1974، وتبوأ مواقع قيادية مختلفة في اللجنة المركزية في منظمة التحرير، وكان من الفدائيين الذين تصدوا للقوات الإسرائيلية التي غزت لبنان وحاصرت بيروت عام 1982، وأصيب في الكبد أثناء الحروب التي شنت على المقاومة الفلسطينية في لبنان، مما أستوجب خضوعه لعملية (نقل كبد)بعد سنوات طويلة من اصابته في مشفى تيانجين التابع للجيش الصيني، غادر الجبهة الديمقراطية عام 2003، وكان يعمل مدير مكتب الإعلام لمنظمة التحرير الفلسطينية في دمشق والآن متفرغ للكتابة والأبحاث.
وله نحو عشرين كتاباً مطبوعاً.
كتب ويكتب في عدة صحف عربية ودولية.
وعضو في اتحاد الكتاب العرب.
ويعرف عنه ككاتب سياسي ومؤرخ فلسطيني عميق الخبرة والتجربة في ساحة العمل السياسي الفلسطيني.

في هذا الكتاب ندون شيئاً من ذاكرة الكفاح على لوحة الموزاييك الفلسطينية التي تعج بألوان الطيف الأيديولوجي الفكري والسياسي، ونرصد مسار الفعل الكفاحي بتجلياته المختلفة، من القلم إلى البندقية والرصاص، فمن البندقية كان الرصاص الموصل إلى سدة العالم في إعادة إحياء قضية فلسطين واسترجاعها إلى أجندة العالم بعد التغييب القسري لها. ومن البندقية كان بعض "الرصاص الأعمى" المتطرف، الذي أساء لفلسطين وشعبها وقضيتها على يد قلة فقدت بوصلة الطريق الحقيقي نحو الانتصار.
يستعرض الكتاب بيبلوغرافيا العشرات من القوى (تنظيماً وحركة وحزباً وجبهة وتحالفاً وعصبة وكتيبة وسرية...) ويعيد قراءة نهوض الحركة الإسلامية المقاتلة في فلسطين في انبثاقها الهائل الذي أسهم في توالد الجديد من التحولات في الخريطة السياسية والأيديولوجية في الساحة الفلسطينية.
