"فرد أمن" رواية تدور أحداثها حول حارس ليلي في بداية العقد الرابع من العمر، يبوح بأسراره لشخص التقاه مصادفة، ثم تدفعه فكرة البوح نفسها إلى الكتابة على النقود الورقية، وتدوين ما يجده مكتوبًا عليها في دفتر يحتفظ به في بيته، من جو الرواية: "كنت يومًا قبل ذهابي لاستلام الوردية أنزل لأجلس مع أحمد المكوجي في محله في الشارع المقبل، وأبدأ رحلة تسريب النقود، انتشر موضوع الكتابة على النقود فجأة، ويبدو أن هذه الفكرة أعجبت البعض، فأصبحت كل يوم اكتب ما أجده على الأوراق النقدية في كشكول أضعه في درج المكتب في غرفتي، وكأني توليت مسؤولية تدوين هذه النصوص حتى لا تضيع مع مرور الزمن، وجدتني متورطًا في حكايات الناس، أصبحت أتربص للنقود التي تقع في يدي وأفتش فيها عن أي كلمة مكتوبة" تحكي الرواية عن ياسر حارس أمن إحدى المصانع الذي طرد وأصبح عمره 32 سنة، يتقابل هذا الشاب مع رامي عن تدويناته وقصصه واعترافاته على أوراق الجنيهات، يجيبه كيف فصل من كلية تجارة من سبب سخريته على ابن عميد الجامعة بواسطة رسمة كاريكتورية وانتقاله من جامعة الحقوق بعد أن قضى عام في الجيش ويتحدث ياسر عن حبيباته السابقات وهم ماهي وجيهان وأمل.
