في ديوانها الشعري "أحببتك فصرت الرسولة" تتغلغل الشاعرة ماري القصيفي في أعماق الرجل والمرأة (اللغة والذات)، تتجاهل الظاهر وتبوح بالباطني، لا تعتمد الايحاءات وإنما المباشرة في نقل الصور الذهنية بضربات فنية مركزة تنقل معها المتلقي إلى فضاءات أوسع من مساحات القراءة...
تحت عنوان (أناشيد البحر والليل) تقول الشاعرة: "... أنا التي رأت/ أنا التي ترى!/ رأيت رجالاً كثيرين ابتعدوا قبل أن أقترب/ لملموا خطواتهم عن دروب السفر/ وأخفوها في أعماق صدورهم/ خشية أن أقتفي آثارهم وألحق بهم وأقلق سكينتهم/ ولمَا عربش الضجر على حيطان أيامهم/ بحثوا عني لأحكي لهم حكايات/ تعيدهم أطفالاً موعدين بالحبَ والفرح والمغامرة (...)".
وهكذا في بقية قصائد الديوان، تبوح الشاعرة بأنوثتها عبر مناورة لغوية باذخة تؤكد مدى لباقتها واستغفالها ما هو سائد وقائم على تقاليد وأعراف تجعل من الأنثى مسماً هامشياً أو كائناً لا يتعدى حدوداً رسمت مسبقاً في ذهب الرجل تقول: "... عيناك تلدانني امرأة تعيد اكتشاف أنوثتها/ بعيداً عنها أنا فكرة تبحث عن جسد/ مشروع عشق ينتظر أن تموله الرغبة/ (...) إلَا توفي لأن تكون أنت هو الرجل لأكون المرأة؟..."
يضم الديوان (32) قصيدة في الشعر العربي الحديث نذكر من عناوينها: "هذه أنا يا صديقي"، "أنت توهج في الشعر العربي الحديث نذكر من عناوينها: "هذه أنا يا صديقي"، "أنت توهج شغفي"، "همسة حب في زمن الفجور"...الخ.
