هذا الكتاب من تألبف مؤرخ نابه وهو الدكتور/ سمير صبري سالم شبل، وكتابه الذي بين أيدينا يتحدث عن الأنظمة والمؤثرات المشرقية والمغربية في مصر والشام في العصر الأيوبي "564- 648/ 1169- 1250م"، وهي فترة تاريخية هامة كانت مصر والشام خلالها ملتقى لمؤثرات وأنظمة سياسية وعسكرية وحضارية قديمة من كل من المشرق والمغرب، وقسم المؤلف كتابه إلى خمسة فصول مع مقدمة تمهيدية للموضوع ودراسة نقدية للمصادر والمراجع، وخاتمة، وتحدث المؤلف في الفصل الأول عن الدولة الأيوبية بين أصولها الكردية ونشأتها العربية التركية، ثم تحدث في الفصل الثاني عن النظم والعادات المشرقية التي تأثرت بها الدولة الأيوبية مثل النظم التربوية العسكرية السلجوقية والسامانية، وفي الفصل الثالث شرح المؤلف مدى تأثر الدلو الأيوبية بنظام الإقطاع العسكري السلجوقي وأثره في ظهور دولة الأتابكة التي تمخضت عنها الدولة الأيوبية، أما الفصل الرابع فتناول الحركة العلمية ونشأة المدارس وأهدافها السياسية والعلمية مع ازدهار دور العلماء في العصر الأيوبي، وفي الفصل الخامس والأخير اقتصر المؤلف على شرح المؤثرات المغربية في الدولة الأيوبية.
