Book Description
إنه شوق إلى الوطن من داخله، تعيشه ثلاثة أقانيم من فلسطين، التقت أخيراً على أرضها: صبية تتردد في إحياء علاقة عاطفية قديمة مع رجل عائد، وتتردد في بناء علاقة عاطفية جديدة، مع نازح جاء زائراً وهو يتخفى وراء جواز سفر أمريكي عتيد.
لكل قادم من الشتات همه الذي يريد التحاور معه، وماضيه الذي يبحث عن جذوره القديمة، ليكتشف الموت أو الغياب، وليدرك أن الوطن الذي يقطعه من أقصى جنوبه إلى أقصى الشمال، ليس شبيهاً بالوطن الذي حلم به في المنافي، لأن هذا الوطن، مثخن بالجراح، تحول فيه الحب القديم إلى رمل وحصى على ضفة بحيرة تخشى غضب البحر المالح وهجوم التماسيح.
هذه الرواية التي تسير بقارئها من غزة إلى القدس إلى طبرية، تسير به مشهداً وتاريخاً، وهي تنثر حولها الكثير من الأشواق الحزينة التي تقترب من الرثاء، لكنها تكتشف في النهاية أن هذا الوطن ما زال قائماً بحاجة إلى أن يستعاد، بالأسلوب الذي أخذ به، فالواقع الذي فرض عليه وضعه سجيناً للكلمات داخل دفاتر مغلقة-مثل جندي ياباني يخترق الذاكرة ويرفض الاعتراف بهزيمة بلادة- وهو وطن لن يصل إلى حريته إلا بالتمرد على سجن الكلمات.
إنها رواية مليئة برموز الحياة التي تتخلق في الموت في الموت، فتحيي الحنين إلى الوطن من داخل الوطن، حتى يملأ شغاف القلب من جديد.
