يكشف هذا الكتاب بأسلوب وثائقي الجرائم الوحشية المنظمة ليس لإرهاب عصابات فقط بل ولنظام دولة مصطنعة محتلة، وجدت نفسها في مأزق كبير أمام انتفاضة الشعب الفلسطيني الباسل الذي هب ليقاوم الاحتلال في المدن والقرى والمخيمات، مما دفع بسلطات الاحتلال الإسرائيلى لنشر أعداد متزايدة من القوات العسكرية وصل إلى حوالي عشرة أضعاف عدد هذه القوات من قبل، أي أن الأراضي المحتلة أصبحت بمثابة جبهة جديدة ذات طابع مستديم حتى وإن هدأت الانتفاضة، وهذا ما دفع إلى تفعيل دور فرق الموت الإسرائيلية (المستعربون) التي شكلها الجنرال يهودا باراك عام 1986م، كسرية مقاتلة في الجيش النظامي، إعادة الحياة لبعض الممارسات الإرهابية التي نفذتها الحركة الصهيونية في فلسطين منذ بداية الأربعينات من القرن الماضي.
وينقلنا هذا الكتاب عبر فصوله الخمسة من المستعربين الأوائل إلى الوحدات النظامية في الجيش الإسرائيلي، ومن ثم الحصاد الدامي للنظريات القتالية، إضافة إلى حالات القتل والإرهاب والتي لم نخل من الأخطاء والإخفاقات أمام صمود وتضحيات شعب يؤمن بحقه في هذه الأرض، وبمقاومته المشروعة المستمرة، وأمام شهداء أذهلوا قادة الاحتلال السياسيين والعسكريين حين سطروا بدمائهم ملاحم البطولة، وزرعوا بذور الأمل بفجر الحرية.
