اطلق سراحه بعد ان كتب الطبيب تقريره: انه مثل الميت اعتبروه ميتاً ورموه في الشارع القريب من الحي، اختار شجرة الصفصاف جلس تحتها وتكور مثل حلزون ونام. ثم مر وقت طويل ولم يتغير شيء رغم ان المدير نفسه مات بعد سنوات من هذه الحادثة، سقط من النافذة لانه لم يقتنع بالخروج من الباب دفعه احدهم ربما بتحريض من المساعد الذي وجه له عنكبوت والحقيقة ان المساعد كان عنكبوتاً بحق، كبر بسرعة، تسلق جدران المديرية ودخل المكتب الواسع ثم جلس على عرش المدير الذي هو اصغر بدرجة من عرش الرئيس، حتى الرئيس نفسه سقط ذات يوم في حفرة ايضا فالتقطه جنود غرباء بملقط، كانوا يلبسون قفازات ويضعون كمامات، ضحكوا عليه قليلاً، فما بعد فرروا انهاء الفصل الساخر واعدموه.
