وقد عملت الدكتورة نبيهة السامراني من خلال خبرتها الأكاديمية على إصدار كتاب علم النفس الدعوي كمحاولة لتوظيف علم النفس في الدعوة إلى الدين، لما للدين من قوة مؤثرة في النفس البشرية، فعلم النفس الدعوي يختص بهيئة الظروف النفسية والإجتماعية للدعوة إلى الدين مع التركيز على سلوك العاملين في الميدان الدعوي (موظفين، ودعاة، ومدعوين) وحل مشاكلهم والحرص على راحتهم، وصيانة كرامتهم بما يثير دوافعهم نحو العمل، مع الإستفادة من توظيف مفهوم سيكولوجية التعلم لغرض الدعوة، والإبتعاد عن الإنفعالات السلبية وكيفية إستخدام المعلومات النفسية في الجذب الدعوي، وتطبيقات ذلك في العمل الدعوي.
لقد كتب هذا الكتاب بأسلوب واضح وسهل ومبسط بهدف جذب القارئ للتعرف على توظيف المفاهيم والنظريات وتطبيقات ذلك على واقع العمل الدعوي، وليكون مرجعاً أساسياً للأساتذة في أقسام الدعوة وطلبة الدراسات الإسلامية في الجامعات والمعاهد، والعاملين في الميدان الدعوي.
