بين يدي القارئ المجلد الأول من آثار "شارل مالك" الكاملة باللغة العربية، وهو يتضمن القسم الأول من "المقدمة". إنها مقدمة جامعة أفردت فصلاً مسهباً في مطالعها للفلسفة الظهورية بعد فصول تمهيدية تناول فيها المؤلف بعض الخلفيات الأساسية لتطوره الفكري الكياني الشخصي، منتقلاً بعد ذلك إلى مراتب الوجود، وهي ثمان في حدود تعيينه: المراتب الخمس الأولى منها، أي الرياضيات، والعلم، والكومولوجيا الكونية، والحلولية، والمثالية، متدرجة في هذا القسم الأول من "المقدمة" بحثاً وتبويباً، وقد أضيف إلى ذلك ما أنجزه الدكتور مالك من الجزء الثاني من المقدمة في الطبعة الثانية مما خطه في الجزء الأول. وهو بحث حول "الكيانية" الذي كان بمثابة مسودة أولى، وقد وجدت بين أوراق الدكتور مالك بعدو وفاته، لذا فقد وضعت كما هي دون أي تغيير سوى التبويب والعنونة والفهرسة أسوة بما كان قد فعله في الفصول العشرة الأولى في القسم.
ويبدو جلياً أن الفصل المضاف في الطبعة الثانية الذي نقلب صفحاتها غير مكتمل لأن الدكتور مالك بدأ بتناول ستة كيانيين هم: كيركيفورد، دوستويفكسي، نيتشه، بوبر، بردييف، هايدغر، إلا أنه لم ينجز ابحث سوى في ثلاثة منهم (كيركيفورد، دوستويفسكي، بردييف).
