كلنا يؤمن، أن الله سبحانه وتعالى قد أحاط بعلم الغيوب كلها وهو شاهد على علم الشهادة كله، لهذا قال عن نفسه:(عالم الغيب والشهادة الكبير المتعال) وقال الله (جل جلاله) أيضا: (ألم يعلموا أن الله يعلم سرهم ونجواهم وأن الله علام الغيوب) ]سورة التوبة: 78[. (فالغيب: ما غاب عن الناس، والشهادة: ما شهدوه وأبصروه وعاينوه، فعلم الله تام، وكامل، ومحيط بكل شيء، لم يسبقه جهل، ولا يلحقه نسيان (وما كان ربك نسياً) ]سورة مريم 64[. وفي هذا الكتاب (رأي وتفسير) المؤلف "عثمان المفتي" لعالم الغيب والشهادة من خلال عدة محاور تبدأ أولا بفهم معناهما والعلاقة بينهما، والصلة بين عالم الغيب والشهادة وعالم العلم؛ ومقارنتهما بما جاء في القرآن. ثم ينتقل إلى أسرار عالم الغيب وعلاقتها بالأسماء الحسنى، ثم يضع "مواصفات خاصة بعالم الغيب" كما جاءت في الروايات عن الطبراني، وأبو داود، والنجاري ومسلم والنسائي والعلامة الحلي وآخرون، ويكشف عن علاقة الأرقام بعالم الغيب والشهادة، وكيف ينظر العلماء الأجانب، وكذلك علماء الدين المعاصرين إلى عالم الغيب والشهادة مع نبذة من أقوالهم.
