كيف يمكن للمرء أن يجمع بين دكتوراه في الفيزياء ودكتوراه في المسرح؟ قد تبدو المعادلة صعبة إن لم نقل مستحيلة، لكنها ليست كذلك بالنسبة إلى باحث قادم من بيت آل الكغاط تشبث بالعلم بقدر ما تشبث بالفن والأدب، وحفظ عن ظهر قلب مونولوجات من أشهر مسرحيات شكسبير وهو لا زال طفلا. لذلك لم أتردد لحظة واحدة في قبول الإشراف على أطروحته لأنني كنت أعلم أنني سأستفيد من بحثه كما ستستفيد منه الدراسات المسرحية العربية، فهو حريص على ضبط مصطلحاته ومفاهيمه، دقيق في إحالاته، متتبع للدراسات والبحوث المسرحية بمختلف لغاتها ومدارسها، يتحكم منهجه العلمي في كتابته الأدبية فيبتعد عن الإطالة والاستطرادات.
