الخطاب السِّجالي خطاب إشكاليّ، متحرِّر من قيود الأنماط والتبعيّة، يعبِّر عن وجهتَيْ نظر مختلفتَيْن في سياق لغوي مشترك، يختلف في نظامه وبنيته عن الخطاب التقليدي، يطرح قضايا إبستيمولوجية إشكاليّة حول علاقة الآخَر بالأنا، بوصفه ناقداً لها، وأثر "الأنا" الفاعل في "الآخَر".
يُعبِّر الخطاب السِّجالي عن مرحلة استثنائية في الفكر الإنساني العربي، عندما تستوعب "الأنا" "الآخَر"، فتجعله سبباً في تطورها وتناميها على المستوى الإبداعي، وتجعله جزءاً مكمِّلاً لها على المستوى الإنساني. خطاب يعبِّر عن أثر "الأنا" الواضح في "الآخَر"، عندما يتقبّلها في علاقة جدليّة يستخدم فيها كل طرف جميع أدواته لاستكمال السياق المعرفي بينهما؛ ومن ثمّة فهو خطاب يعبِّر عن الفكر الناضج للإبداع العربي في طور مهم من أطوار الحضارة العربية.
وشعر النقائض خطاب سجالي بامتياز يجلو كفاءة الخطاب الشعري وكفاءة المنهج الذي اعتمدنا عليه في كشف الطاقات التي تضمّنتها أشعار طالما اختُزلت في أخبار تُغيِّب الشعر وتَطْمس قوّة النوع؛ لذلك حرصنا في هذا الكتاب على الإفادة من اختيارات منهجية تردّ إلى الشعر أَلَقَه الذي كان ساعةَ الإنتاج منغرساً في زمانه ومكانه، وتردّ إلى الفكر العربي نفاذه قبل أن يبليه العكوف على الأشكال الجوفاء.
