وفي هذا الكتاب تاريخ استكشاف الفضاء والتي تأخذنا من العام 1926 حيث بلغ أول صاروخ عامل بالوقود السائل ارتفاع 184 قدماً حتى ساتيرن 7 العلامق الذي أطلق روّاد الفضاء الأميركيين في رحلة تبعد 246000 ميل للهبوط على سطح القمر، وامتداداً إلى الحقبة الحديثة في عصر الفضاء والتي بدأت في العام 1957 مع إطلاق سبوتنيك. ومنذ ذلك العام اتخذت هذه الحقبة طابع نحو الفضاء بين الولايات المتحدة الأميركية والاتحاد السوفياتي. يسرد الكتاب هذه الأحداث مرفقة بالصور التي تزيد من توضيح المعلومات والتي تسرّ الناشئ أكثر لأنه سيساهم في إعطاءها الألوان المناسبة.
