موضوع الكتاب لم أسبق إليه فى العصر الحديث إذ إنه يتناول مرجع ضمير الغائب المبنى على حرف الهاء فى جميع القرآن الكريم، وسبقت بيان هذا المرجع دراسة عن: صور مرجع الضمير الغائب فى القرآن الكريم، فبينت فيها: المرجع المحدد والمرجع غير المحدد، ودراسة عن: قواعد عود الضمير على مرجعه، وبينت فيها: عود الضمير على أقرب مذكور، والترتيب بين الضمير ومرجعه، وتوافق الضمائر فى المرجع، ودور القراءات فى مرجع الضمير، والمطابقة بين الضمير ومرجعه، ودراسة عن الموازنة بين أسلوب القرآن وأسلوب غيره فى مرجع الضمير كوجه من وجوه إعجاز القرآن الكريم، ولقد مكثت فى إعداد هذا الكتاب خمس سنوات لم آل جهداً فى دراسته ومراجعته حتى خرج للناس على صورة مناسبة تليق مع منزلة الكتاب الخالد فى نفوس الناس.
