"بعد أن تم تعارف ليليان مع عائلة ستيف اعتذر جورج بأنه سيذهب مع صديقة ستيف في جولة لا يعودان منها إلا بعد الظهر مما أتاح لليليان الفرصة لتكون أكثر تآلفاً مع ليندا. كانت ليليان متلهفة لأن تكون صديقة لهذين الزوجين اللذين، كما هو واضح، قريبان إلى زوجها. ورغم أن ليندا شخصية هادئة لكنها ليست من النوع الخجول، وبعد دقائق قليلة استمر حديثهما سهلاً واختفت فيه أية غرابة. كانوا أكثر الصغار غير موجودين، فقد ذهبوا للتزحلق ولم يبق منهم إلا سان الذي حدثها عن جورج وأخبرها بأنه متعلق به. وقد قضى سان معظم الصباح داخلاً وخارجاً ليخبر أمه في كل مرة بما وصله في صنعه لرجل من الثلج. كان شعره لطيفاً، والبرد قد جعل خديه وطرف أنفه مصبوغة بالحمرة. وكانت عنياه لامعتين وغطت ملابس الشتاء الثقيلة جسمه الصغير النحيف. لقد نجحت ليندا في إضحاك ليليان طوال الصباح وهي تشرح لها ما صادف ابنها سان من خطّ سيء، وبعد الغداء بقليل استطاعت ليندا أن تقنع سان بأن يأخذ غفوة بينما استرخت هي وليليان وهما تتناولان القهوة. كان هدوء الشقة يدعو إلى استمرار حديث جاد لذلك بدأت ليندا بالسؤال: حسناً أخبرني بكل شيء عنك وعن جورج".
"عاصفة في قلب" قصة لطيفة تروي حكاية زوجين انفصلا، وتلعب الصدف دورها في توسيع الهوة بينهما رغم العاطفة التي تجمع بينهما إلى أن تحين الفرصة الصدفة ليعيدا علاقتهما الزوجية من جديد.
