كان الطبيبان النرويجيان مادس جلبرت وإيريك فوسا يعملان على مدار الساعة مع زملائهم الفلسطينيين في مستشفى الشفاء، وكانا الشاهدين الوحيدين من الغرب، على الفظائع التي ارتكبت هناك. هنا يرويان تجربتهما في أيام الغزو وشهادتهما عن المرضى الذين عولجوا وعن العمل الطبي الشاق والمتطلب في مستشفى في حالة حرب وعن عواقب الحرب الرهيبة.
