يصف جيمس فويلكل هذه الإنجازات العلمية مضناً معلومات كافية في الفلك والهندسة تمكن حتى المبتدئين من إتباع عقلية كيلر في التحليل والتمتع بهذا الكتاب.
كما أشار إلى حياة كيلر المتخضبة بالبؤس والمرض والحرب والمحاكمة الدينية القاسية.
